Desert and Dam
Headed out for Hoover Dam...It's hot here in the desert. It's a dry heat, but so is an oven.
Still, there's a lot of water in the desert. We've got Herbert Hoover to thank for that. And he invented the vacuum cleaner too!
A big bathtub plug. I'm glad we got to drive over the top of it. I don't think you'll be able to next year...
Did you know you can't bring a pocket knife inside the Visitor's Center? Or a bunch of grapes? But you can take all the photos you want. And you can fling yourself over the parapet if you like. There's no fence to keep you from doing that. You will have to pay $7 to park, first.
Thank goodness the terrorists haven't won yet.
We chose to stay on top. After all, there's always dessert to look forward to...
Williams, Arizona is much cooler than Kingman, and there's trees here.

And you didn't even mention your sister, a real Hoover- even though she doesn't have anything to do with vacuum cleaners.....amazing to see how far they got with the new bridge since we were there in May!
